Canine First Aid Training 2010 - Dates TBA

The Dog Centre are planning to run the 'Canine First Responder' course.
It is accredited by 'Emergency First Response' which is a globally recognised supplier of all types of first-aid training.
Covering primary (CPR) and secondary (first-aid) care the course utilises the latest training materials, including state-of-the-art canine CPR mannequins, and is taught in a relaxed and fun manner.
Course Content (approx.):
- Effective use of barriers
- Scene assessment
- Primary assessment
- CPR and rescue breathing
- Management of spinal injury
- Control of serious bleeding
- Management of shock
- Splinting broken limbs
- Management of choking
- Epilepsy care
- Dealing with poisoning
- Diabetes emergency care
It can easily be done within a day, and the course includes a student manual, quality first-aid kit and certification.


Courses around the country of a similar standard range from £80 to £175 / person.
The dog centre has secured this course for £70 / person for a minimum of 10 attendees.
Non club members will be charged at £80 each.
